HVAC Career PATHS

The Career Pathways to Advance the Trades in HVAC Services (PATHS) initiative structures workforce education and training to target the entire HVAC career pathway. From recruitment to trade schools, classroom training, career preparation, recruitment, and on-the-job training, PATHS aims to provide trade students and contractors with the necessary skills to design, install, and maintain HVAC systems for optimal performance. By integrating efforts and resources and designing a clear path to growth, those pursuing a career in HVAC will seamlessly learn skills and achieve the best success.

This diagram describes the PATHS model by presenting a plan for implementation,  describing the key elements that should be included in such a model.  This plan will help others to achieve the same outcomes that Frontier Energy is aiming to achieve, and developing sustainable organizations that can continue this work into the future.

A key goal of PATHS is to improve HVAC performance by adequately preparing technicians and contractors to deliver quality installations. To do this, training will be provided on tool usage, taking readings on operational parameters, taking correct measurements, interpreting results, identifying options to improve performance, and communicate options to a customer.
